Dear desperately seeking life at University,

So they told you that university was all about having fun, drinking and experiencing those all important close encounters. Well who are we to argue with tradition? At the University of Strathclyde Debates Society, we believe in making the most of your time at university. If you're confident, outgoing, competitive and enjoy a good argument, then debates is the club for you!

We meet every Thursday at 7 pm at the Debates Chamber, Level 6, Union Building.

Meetings are relaxed and informal with mini debates and various other training exercises conducted by the more experienced and senior members of the club. Almost every week, we also have former debating champions and veterans (from Strathclyde obviously) in this field mesmerising the society with their brilliant discourses and invaluable insights.

Time flies and very soon, it's between 9.30 and 10 pm, the curtain drawn on a remarkable evening, every Thursday, same place, same time...
